NLL Equipment Recommendations

The NLL offers a Swap Shed at Heroes Softball Field full of free, new and used equipment for all ages. You do not need to bring anything to exchange, all are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of this resource set up by the Nanuet Girl Scouts!  If you need help finding or accessing the Swap Shed, please reach out to the Board of Directors (or find the Director on Duty) to arrange. Items available in the Swap Shed include helmets, cleats, bats, pants, gloves, bags, and more!

Please label ALL of your child’s equipment with their name - including their helmet, glove, hat, shirt.

Uniform Information

  • Tball - Team shirt and hat are provided. Baseball pants, socks, and cleats are optional. Appropriate pants or shorts and sneakers are acceptable

  • Rookie - Team shirt and hat are provided. Baseball/softball pants, socks, and cleats are not required, but recommended.

  • Minors & Majors - Team shirt, hat, and pants are provided. Cleats are highly recommended

*For Fall Ball: The league supplies a team shirt and hat. Baseball/softball pants are recommended.

Home Use Equipment

For practice at home, the following equipment could be utilized:

Softballs - Rookies and Minors use 11 inch softballs, Majors 12"
Baseball - All levels use standard 9" ball
Tball - Safe-T balls or Incrediballs (soft/rubber shell)

Batting Tee and net
Wiffle balls
Pitch back

YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook can all be utilized to find and follow coaches and organizations with recommended practice drills for all ages.  If you have any questions, reach out your coach or ask a board member.
